What is a Life Coach, you ask?

Well, I’ll tell you.

Life Coaching aims at helping you determine and achieve personal goals. A Life Coach will use multiple methods that will help you with the process of setting and reaching goals. Coaches are not psychiatrist, therapists nor consultants. Professional coaching provides mentoring and counseling, values assessment, behavior modification, behavior modeling, goal setting and other techniques in helping your self-development.

The Life Coaching industry has multiple Life Coach training programs and schools available. There are various certification programs whereby someone can become a Certified Life Coach.

A Life Coach will not focus on examining or diagnosing your past like in therapy. Instead coaching focuses on effecting change in your current and future behavior. Also, Life Coaching does not delve into diagnosing mental illness or dysfunction.

Coaches are excellent as a “sounding board” and “motivator” whether in your personal or professional life. A professional certified coach will listen to you and give honest feedback. Professional coaches will help you succeed with managing your time, personal life, career and business.

Are you coachable?…..
