Young singers and aspiring vocalists often model after mainstream musicians for sound quality and tone, however, this is not the best way to be an efficient and healthy singer. In fact, it is more likely to cause more vocal problems. The best way to learn how to be a good singer, produce a good tone, and become an artist is to work closely with a professional.

Imitating performers that you hear on the radio is the least helpful way to learn to sing. Take lessons with a vocal instructor so that you can learn about your instrument and about music. Singing, no matter what style, is a physical activity and is most effective when you know how to use your body for healthy singing. Students will most often ask for help in making their voice more powerful. Increased power is a result of healthy singing. A teacher will not only give you an individualized plan for managing your breath and your breaks, improving your range, and giving more power to your voice, but will be able to give you immediate feedback on your progress.

I can say this because I learned firsthand that studying with a teacher is the quickest and most effective way to improve your voice. I had been singing on my own for 10 years, performing with groups and at churches, and I thought I had a decent voice. People would tell me my voice was sweet and pretty. I’m not bragging, trust me! After I got to college and started taking lessons, learning how my body works, and how to make my voice a musical instrument, it started improving after a semester! My teachers were gushing about how my voice was blossoming, I added a full octave to my upper range, I added richness to my lower range, and I finally felt confident in myself and my singing. I came back from college and surprised a lot of my old friends that had heard me before.

It was a very rewarding experience and I recommend taking lessons to anyone aspiring to be a singer. It prevents you from picking up bad vocal habits, allows you to sing with your true voice, and gives you a freedom and confidence that only comes with knowing you are successful.

I’ve had two vocal coaches in my lifetime and I agree with you 100% plus. Both coaches were wonderful to work with and provided great value to my success. It dramatically improved my vocal instrument and vocal performance. I’m hoping to continue the services of vocal coaches again in the near future. Thanks for your submission Kirsten.

Giving a speech with your well-protected voice

Giving a speech with your well-protected voice

Jenny used to be a singer in her church choir. She had a wonderful voice but was destroyed by smoking. She started smoking after she was divorced. It didn’t take her very long to start losing her good voice. If you are a singer like Jenny, a teacher, or a public speaker, you want to protect your voice. It is one of your tools to survival and pay bills.

Some say one raw egg a day in the early morning could help protect your voice. This may be extreme. All you have to do is speak softly but not whispering, drink more water, avoid heavily polluted areas. Do not smoke or drink alcohol. The more you need to talk, the more water you should drink. Let your vocal cord rest whenever you can. Drink less cold soda pop but more warm soup or any liquid.

Most of all, use your stomach instead of your vocal cords while you talk. If you can, practice how to make this a natural reaction. Practice more, this will be your habit. If you can, try to record your voice when you control it in a different way and see what method work for you. Protecting a good voice is not something you can accomplish overnight. You need time, methods, and patience to do it.

Sing this line in any tune, La Ga La Ga La Ga La. Your jaw must be not move while you sing this line.

After that, follow this line, Ya Ya Ya Ya Ya Ya Ya with the same tune that you did in the first line. Again, You’re jaw must not move while you sing this line.

Then follow this line, Ya Ga Ya Ga Ya Ga Ya and this line, Ta La Ta La Ta La Ta and back to first line which is, La Ga La Ga La Ga La. Your jaw must not move while singing these lines.

Now, sing the “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” but do this with your lip rolling. While doing the lip rolling, you must follow the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. Repeat the lip rolling for at least 10 times.

Do this exercise for 20 minutes a day. This will help you to improve your voice in order to sing well. You will get accurate singing results and it can be heard after you do the exercise.

Tips for True Prosperity

Are you struggling on your quest to become debt free? Living debt free is a goal that a lot of people set out to accomplish, but somehow find it difficult to stick to a plan of action.

If this resonates with you, I suggest the following tips for success on your path to true prosperity:

1. Start tracking ALL of your Spending

Start keeping track of where you are spending your money. Yes! ALL of your money… you cannot fix what you don’t realize is broke. Identify where the leaks are in your spending habits, and Plug em!

2. Pay CASH for your everyday needs

By paying cold hard cash, you’ll begin to learn to place actual value on your hard earned money. It is so easy to overspend when you reach for plastic. Credit cards spending just doesn’t seem “real”, until the bill comes in, that is!

3. Save at least 10% of your Income

Saving a portion of your income religiously every month will help ease any anxiety about not having “enough”. That is a valid fear, but if you have identified that lack of security keeps you awake at night – then saving a portion of your money should make that fear subside.

4. Give it away!

“What? You’re crazy!” you may say… No, I’m not. By tithing, or freely giving a portion of your money to a charitable cause that you value, you will start the process of looking at your money differently. It feels good to give and not expect anything in return. Expansive acts lead to greater abundance and that my friends, feels wonderful!

Years ago, I got myself into almost $30,000 of debt. Not a very comfortable feeling I must state for the record. It took alot of hard work on my part implementing the above tips, along with some renegotiation with credit card providers – but my debts have been paid for 2 years now. I am on the path to prosperity!

You can overcome debt successfully. Anyone can if they work hard and change their current habits. I know this because I have.

Start on the path to true prosperity today by applying these simple tips to live debt free forever.
