Leadership is a process of influencing members in a given situation to achieve common agreed goals. A good leader must possess some traits, which defines his/her leadership qualities.
A leader must adopt an approach where he/she treat people as individuals according to their special needs and avoid favoritism. Secondly a leader must ensure that there is a fair evaluation of performance of the work appraisal of sub-ordinates. This decision-making will also increase leadership effectiveness. Lastly, a leader who is readily available to his sub-ordinates impresses them with his/her interest in their problems, promotes a more effective superior-subordinate relationship. If he is distant, it might give the impression that he does not care for others and would rather like to be left alone.
A number of studies have been conducted. Various authors examined what kind of leadership behavior leads to higher productivity and higher work satisfaction. What has emerged from all these studies is a supervisory attitude marked with easy, open, understanding style; supervisory behavior which is flexible, responsive and considerate of the needs and opinions of sub-ordinates.
Pal and Vasudeva (1989) first identified high task-oriented and high relationship oriented supervisors through a pilot study. The results showed that workers working under relationship-oriented leaders experienced significantly a greater degree of satisfaction than their counterparts working under task oriented leaders.
It is noticed that conflicting orders, discrimination, unnecessary interference in the work of employees, too close a supervision often lead to ineffective leadership behavior. Sub-ordinates see their leaders as a model. When satisfied with the leader they try to follow the leader’s footstep.
Leader By Example
To be a good leader leads by example. Leading by example, or “walk the talk” means that you should know your job well before you can direct or lead others. Leaders are individuals who should inspire, motivate and direct others, as a leader ensure that your words and actions deliver feelings of being inspired, getting motivated and being lead. A good leader is moralistic and ethical. He/She does not say or do wrong.
Being a good leader is about striking the right balance between people management and task management. One cannot precede the other, only when they go in tandem, the results will flow efficiently and effectively. It is a win-win situation for people working and the tasks being accomplished.
A good leader encourages his team or his follower at every step. The leader gives them sufficient time to learn and make mistakes. A good leader always follows up on the tasks or the commitments.
A good leader will distinguish between the good and the bad, the weak and the strong and he knows right from wrong. He/She balances between work and fun. You lighten up and surprise your team once in a while, and allow for relaxation and recharge. As a leader you create a comfortable atmosphere, good body language and words that sound approachable and warm.

Why is Nelson Mandela popular and beloved by people all over the world?
It is not only his contribution to South Africa but also his quality that makes him one of the greatest leaders. According to Francois Pienaar, the captain of the South African rugby team, Nelson Mandela always put others before himself. He was kind and just. He remembered what his staff liked. It was these small things and one deliberate act of kindness that made Nelson Mandela a great person. It was his devotion to freedom and equality that made him a great leader.
If you have seen the movie Invictus, you would have gotten a glimpse of what a great leader was like. Nelson Mandela asked how Francois led the team. They both agreed that being the role model was crucial. You lead by examples.
If you ask your staff to work hard yet you are not in the office to show them a good example, the staff may not be convinced. A successful leader also looks to the future. With this point of view, they create a vision for the future and show people the light of the future.
All these sound easier said than done. But one thing at a time, success will be near.

I have been on a search to control acne, even into my late 40′s, and finally can tell you the solution that worked best for me. Now mind you, I’ve tried all of the acne products on the market, did hydrocolon therapy, as my therapist told me that the acne was being caused by bacteria in my gut, heavy metal and chemical detox. I downloaded all of the latest and greatest books online that ‘guarantee the acne solution’, to no avail.
I did even try the wheat free/gluten free diet because I had other stomach issues such as bloating, flatulence, etc. So, I believed that my acne issue probably was arising from my stomach. So….
I was sure the wheat/gluten free diet would help. Much to my surprise it didn’t help much. Why??? I kept asking myself.
Well, later I was tested by blood work and found out that yes, I was very highly sensitive to wheat and gluten, but more importantly, eggs, almonds, honey, and more other products that I used on a daily basis. I require lots of protein so I ate eggs regularly, along with nuts, all high in protein and good fats. Supposed to be good for you, right?
Once I found out I was allergic to other foods that I constantly ate, I cut all of them, including wheat/gluten, out of my daily diet. Now my acne, for the first time in years, started to dissappear. I continued on that course and now can eat those foods sometimes, but if my acne starts coming back I go onto the strict diet again.
I was thrilled to finally have found out when my acne problem stemmed from. Remember wheat, gluten, and egg free doesn’t just mean eggs, bread, and pastas. Those ingredients are found in so many products, even your vitamins.

Here are a few tips for healthy eating. While most people believe that healthy eating is bland eating, that is not the case any more. Healthy eating can taste delicious. In today’s society there are seasonings out there that can make food, even food you may not like, taste wonderful. While trying out those seasoning you don’t want to overload your food with it.
First off when you are trying to eat healthy, you do not have to get rid of everything that is not healthy right off the bat. Doing that may make you hate the food that is good for you. If you start off small like changing the fried potatoes for a baked potato with some seasoning on it, you may find that it is easier to start a healthy eating lifestyle.
As you gradually change your eating style you may find that you feel more energetic and have a peep in your step. You may go from just eating healthy to wanting to live healthier. As you slowly change your life by eating better foods, vegetables and fruits, leaner cuts of meat, you will see that if you had any problems before, like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, those issues may start to get better.
So by changing a few food items at a time you may find that healthy eating isn’t as terrible as it is thought to be.

Balance your meals
It is easy not to exercise or not eat a big fat steak meal. If you don’t like exercise, then try to walk 5 minutes, for instance, from the parking lot to the supermarket or your office. Take stairs instead of an elevator if you are just going up to the third floor.
Also, drink more water. Water washes the fat and unhealthy things in your body. When you go to the restroom, your body is getting rid of things you don’t need and that is a good thing. Drink a glass of water before a meal to stop you from eating more. You may eat a 5oz steak instead of a 15 oz steak. Eat salad or soup before you put your knife on the steak. You don’t even need to do this in every meal. But make it a habit to do this a couple of time a week.
Finally, change what you eat. If you eat steak 5 times a week, cut it down to perhaps 2 times a week. Instead, eat more chicken and fish. If you always put 4 teaspoons of salt for your salad, make it 2 teaspoons or use non-sodium salt. If you hardly eat vegetables, find some that you like and are willing to try. For instance, if cucumber is not your thing, then try squash.
The small steps mentioned above could keep you healthy and young. It may even change your life and perspectives.

A lime will maintain the fitness!
It is true that a lime can change any ones life. This is my own experience that a lime helps to maintain fitness. I always go for a morning walk having a glass of lime water. This is not ordinary lime water. This lime water is prepared from warm water. It is very effective in our day today life. Really it reduces the fats in the stomach. Walking daily after having a glass of lime water really affects the body. Those who wanted to reduce the weight also can use this method. The requirement is that it must be taken in the morning according to my experience.
If we have this lime water in the morning, it can save our body from dehydration while walking. Amazing results are obtained with the help of a small lime. Thus to remain fit walking is necessary and to increase the fitness a lime is also necessary. I have two kids and maintaining my fitness in this way.

While admitting the importance of computers and entertainment on television, it is not right to be wholly dependent on it. It is a wonderful feeling to walk in a lovely place with someone who special in your life. Walking can stimulate our imagination. It helps in releasing your mind from the cares of the day and it refreshes your body. This underlines the fact that a healthy body carries a healthy mind. Mentally and physically your energy will be recharged.
As you begin to pay attention to your surroundings while walking, you will find many interesting things. It reduces chances of cancer, heart diseases, stroke, and other fatal diseases. Aerobic fitness can be achieved at both high and moderate intensity. Even breast cancer can be prevented by walking. Older people who are walking as a habit are less likely to die of health problems which mean that they can live longer. Blood pressure and smoking risks can be reduced to a dramatically by walking. It stimulates our immune system and helps us prevent catching colds.
Another health benefit of walking includes developing physical strength. It also reduces chances of glaucoma. Walking downhill has promising effects such as lowering of sugar and cholesterol level and it helps us to overcome obesity problems. Walking my help you decrease the insulin’s effect in your body. Don’t compromise walking. There are a lot of benefits.
